How to Choose the Right Work Shoes for Your Industry
Construction, Industry & Logistics
Working in construction, industry, and logistics often means long days on hard surfaces and physically demanding tasks. That’s why shoes with good support and cushioning are essential to reduce strain on the body.
It’s also important to choose safety footwear that meets the specific requirements of your workplace and job tasks. Safety shoes are classified from SB–S7 according to the EN ISO 20345:2022 standard.
Things to consider:
- Good support and shock absorption
- The correct safety class for your workplace
- Slip-resistant soles for outdoor winter work
- Additional anti-slip protection for snow and ice
Healthcare & Care Services
In healthcare and care services, you often spend most of the day walking or standing. Comfortable shoes with good cushioning and support are therefore especially important. In environments with a low risk of spills, breathable shoes can provide extra comfort.
For home care services, shoes that are easy to put on and take off are a practical choice. During winter, slip-resistant soles and additional anti-slip protection are recommended.
Kitchen & Restaurant
In kitchen and restaurant environments, good grip is essential since floors are often slippery due to water, oil, or spills. Shoes with a protective upper also help reduce the risk of injuries from hot liquids or dropped objects.
Key features:
- Slip-resistant sole
- Protective upper
- Good comfort and cushioning
- ESD-approved protection when needed to safely discharge static electricity
